HAMILTON — Ethan and Ely Emmons both qualified and wrestled in this year’s Ohio Athletic Committee Grade School State Wrestling Tournament that was held March 15-16 in Youngstown.
Melzer named new Badin athletic director

HAMILTON — Geoff Melzer has been named athletic director at Badin High School effective July 1, Badin Principal Brian Pendergest announced in March.
Melzer will succeed Sally Kocher, who is retiring after 14 years as athletic director, 40 years on the faculty at Badin.

HAMILTON — The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced its girls basketball seedings today, Sunday, Feb. 10. The following are dates and times for the Hamilton and Badin programs:
In the Division I girls sectional tournament, No. 24 Hamilton plays No. 23 Hughes on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 12:30 p.m. at Lakota East. In the Division III girls sectional tournament, No. 3 Badin plays No. 9 Deer Park on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 4 p.m. at Edgewood.
Badin names new girls head volleyball coach

HAMILTON — Amy Horsley has been named the head girls volleyball coach at Badin High School, athletic director Sally Kocher recently announced.
Horsley has had extensive experience coaching in various volleyball ranks, though this is her first head coaching job at the high school level.
Childs signs to play football at Lindsey Wilson

HAMILTON — Badin High School senior Greg Childs has signed to play football at Lindsey Wilson College, an NAIA school in Columbia, Ky.
Childs is the son of Doug and Patricia Childs of Hamilton and a graduate of St. Peter in Chains School.
