MUH baseball off to hot start

HAMILTON — The Miami University Hamilton Harriers baseball team is off to a hot start. After an opening defeat on the road at Shawnee State, MUH returned last night from Vero Beach, Florida, with a 7-3 overall record. The road trip took MUH to Dodgertown, the historic former spring training home of the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers. MUH avenged a 2012 loss to Hagerstown by with a 13-12 win. MUH twice overcame a 6-run deficit to defeat an Ontario team with five MLB draft picks. Overall, MUH put up 86 runs in 9 games in Florida. MUH's next game is Tuesday, March 19, at 5 p.m., hosting Ohio Mid-Western at Foundation Field.

MUH women's basketball claims state title

The Miami University Hamilton women's basketball team won the Ohio Regional Campus state title on Sunday, Feb. 24. SUBMITTED PHOTOStaff Reports

ORRVILLE — The Miami University Hamilton women’s basketball team capped off its best season in school history on Sunday, Feb. 24.

The Harriers defeated their conference rival Miami University Middletown 92-63 in the championship game of the Ohio Regional Campus state tournament at Akron Wayne.

HAMILTON — Four new members were inducted into the Miami University Hamilton Athletic Hall of Fame’s second class on Friday, Jan. 18.
The four inducted this year were Gabriel Folmar, basketball; Kerry Hicks, tennis; Ryan Maher, baseball; and Randy Russell, golf.

MUH softball to hold tryouts

HAMILTON The Miami University Hamilton fastpitch softball team is holding tryouts on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the school's gym.
